There’s a lost neighborhood kitty, named Ariel, that was last seen Thursday night at Sweetzer and 1st Street. If you see this sweet tabby, please contact Jeff or Megan at 323-385-4939 or 551-804-7473 as soon as possible.

Word  is chain Panini Cafe, which is also in Beverly Hills, is taking the place of the long-closed Splash Spa at the corner of West 3rd Street and Crescent Heights. Would prefer an affordable non-chain restaurant myself. Have never eaten there, so can’t make much of a culinary critique. Has anyone been/eaten there? Thoughts?

So, the husband has been a regular contributor to B+S, and now I’ve got the Dad into it. Here are a few pics he snapped for me in the Hong Kong airport of the Gucci store. It is friggin massive! Not sure about the length of it, but note that there’s at least a second Gucci sign.

Downtown: “Lemonade, a cafeteria-style lunch spot from the people behind Jackson Someset Catering, opened a few weeks ago at City National Plaza… a second location in the former Tea Garden space on Beverly Boulevard in two weeks. Yes, this is the place several of you have emailed about. The space and concept will be just about the same—mostly to go, some table seating—but the menu will be more high-end. The Bev Hills location will stay open until 8pm, six days a week.”

The architect for both is Ana Henton, who also did the redo of Silver Lake Wine, which I profiled on Racked LA here. Wish there was a 3rd Street Wine…

Just posted an extensive photo gallery on Racked LA of last night’s festivities for those that are interested. A couple boutique owners told me that they never get to see what’s going on in the street during these things because they’re always working, which, yeah, I never thought about. Hope this gives an idea.

Just posted about this on Racked LA here. The owners of the building which houses Ethel and Flight 001, between Sweetzer and Harper, is going to be torn down, and a three level retail/office space with two level of underground parking is to be erected. Check the post for more.
